Family Disputes

Lawsuit between two brothers and father in which one party claimed that the other had wrongfully taken more than the correct share of profits generated after the sale of property that had previously been jointly owned. Family dynamics and cultural issues played a large role in resolving this complicated and contentious dispute.

Plaintiff sued former business partner for FRAUD and misappropriation of business, claiming that defendant forced her out of the business and deprived her of PROFITS she was due. Plaintiff also had a claim for EMOTIONAL DISTRESS based on defendant’s having filed a police report against plaintiff, which resulted in her wrongful arrest.

PARTNERSHIP DISPUTE in which partner with majority interest claimed that minority partner had made unauthorized withdrawals from business account. Cross complaint alleged that majority partner had unlawfully OUSTED minority partner from business, and converted company assets to start new business. Dispute was highly contentious and emotional.

Settled FAMILY DISPUTE between widower and adult children of late wife centering on home owned by children. Issues involved clams of EVICTION, VIOLATION OF PRIVACY, and EMOTIONAL DISTRESS by widower.

Settled EMOTIONALLY CHARGED action for CIVIL BATTERY between ex-spouses involving issues of abuse and violation of stay away orders.
